Maybe you should, there's rumors of instructors who've earned a pair of concrete shoes when the son didn't get his licence on time. Then of course there's students that like to drop packages from teh plane that you gotta watch out for. Then of course there's those really eager students who pay well but its tough to get through to them that they have to learn how to land the airplane as well...hz2p wrote:Wow. Whole lotta blue-collar class anger here about "Daddy's money".
I personally never cared where someone got their money.
No, that's the retail industry, if you do everything the customer wants in the service industry, whether it be oil patch, lumber, driving truck or flying airplanes you end up dead. Cat has it right, sometimes you have the balls (or ovaries) to say no.If they had
talent and drive, they were fun to teach. If they didn't, patience was
required, but remember that in a service industry, the customer is
always right. If you don't like the service industry, perhaps it's time to
try something else.
No, because we pay these people to defend democracy for us, and sometimes with their lives - their debt gets paid in full. He gets free flight training, we get to live in the free world - its a good trade. Those of you who were upset about "Daddy's money" must get furious
at military pilots, who learned to fly on everybody's daddy's money - they
didn't earn a nickle of it.
You should hear the things I say about my poor customers who think they should flight train for free... because they're poor...So they can't really do much about it. So you're saying we should be nicer to people because they're rich? You mean there's a price at which you'll sign off incompetent students, overload aircraft or fudge training numbers? For shame...Also, you might want to stay away from corporate flying. Your customers
will almost always have more money that you, which I understand is
a source of great unhappiness amongst the avowed blue collars here.
Rude, antagonistic remarks to your wealthy customers that you resent
is not the best way to create repeat business. Your boss will know that
too, and you will be looking for a new job shortly.
We have nothing to lose but our chains my friend. Now if only more of us would realize that overthrowing the rich isn't only in our best interests, its also a hell of a lot of fun, we might get somewhere....Perhaps you blue collar guys should find a professional to talk to, about
all this anger you have towards people wealthier than you?
We can't stop here! This is BAT country!
Daddy's little girl was the absolute worse...A call from the mother at 7:00am " how come &^%$ has spent 8 grand, when you quoted my 6 grand...."... Just being a total BIATCH! You know who you are if your reading this....beware....she holds a multi engine commercial...and she's on the loose!

My best student was a 65 year old dentist. He always showed up early for a booking with a list of questions that he already had the answers for and was so excited about flying that you couldn't help but be caught up in his enthusiasm.
The worst were the sons of airline pilots. Apparently flying has some genetic connection, so working hard was something that mere mortals needed to do.
I did enjoy the 5 years of training air cadets. All you had to do was work them hard. That and keep them away from their girlfriends.
