The Search function on the TC website advises: “No documents were found” to every attempt to find Security Notice 120 or similar notices. The obvious conclusion is that there is no such official document. It seems some Smart Alec has composed his own official-looking document to bamboozle the security morons. So much for security at Canada's major airports!

You have it wrong.
I have a copy of an old memo, from official sources, without the traveling in civvies language, so no, some "smart alec" wasn't being creative.
I am looking for the latest version if anyone has a copy or a link.

Bump. Does anybody have a link or copy of the aforementioned document? Is it still valid even or have the rules changed?

120 is no longer valid. Ask your company security rep for a copy of 141.

Yup. That's exactly what the circular says. The clothes make the difference, not the fact that you have a RAIC.

Did you actually ever think the RAIC had anything to do with security? :o

It's security theater and if you're not in uniform your not dressed for your part

Not sure how relevant it is here, but the TSA in the US is starting to cut down on people abusing the security bypass privilege by bringing pets through, excessive amounts of liquids, and leaving the security line in plain clothes to return in uniforms to skip the screening. Apparently the TSA is threatening to remove the whole bypass ability if this continues. Hopefully it won't trickle down (well, up) this way.
