One construction job that i worked at was a huge log house set at the edge of a cliff. From the top logs to the groung around the house was probably 40'. In the front to the bottom of the cliff was probably 100'. I worked all day up on those logs. I was careful but never had any problems.

Just yesterday, I rode my Stumpjumper to the top of Powderface Ridge (great downhill
) and peered over the edge and instantly thought of this thread.
Wouldn't you know it? No sooner had I tip toed to the edge of the large cliffe that a gust of wind hit my back. Whoa! talk about nerves. It was like that thing when your buddy grabes you and pulls you away really fast ha ha ha (asshole). Man I had to crawl to the edge the next time.
Or you know that feeling when you lean a chair back, then you lean too far, and almost tip over, but just catch your self...

When I was a kid I'd climb to the top of tall evergreens and see how far I could sway them, me and my brother'd do it. Another time a friend was living in a highrise downtown and we went on the roof and I climbed this beam way up overhanging the street, what a rush! We also climbed the gondola tower on grouse mountain.

I used to hate heights. Never bothered me in a plane, though. The funny thing is, the more time I spend in the air, the less things like ladders and catwalks bother me. I'm still pretty damn careful, though. If I'm going to die, it better not be something stupid like falling off a roof.

I don't mind ladders but you won't find me climbing a radio tower. Going up a rollorcoaster bothers me but the rest of the ride rocks. I guess anything that is higher than a couple of stories connected to the ground will make me uneasy.
