Anybody else adjust the "power levers" (aka-almost take out their transmission) when slowing down to stop or accelerating down the road?!?!

You're stuck in traffic and running late! Instinctively you reach for the FMS to send out an ACARS msg justifying your delay...

Neat! I wonder what it means. Is there a shrink in the house
that could interpret that for us?
I even ended up inside a tunnel still trying to find a hole
Now that part, I can figure out the symbolism of!

Huh, I have also had a under the wire dream. It was with a Pitts Special too! The short wing span helps

The worse thing I did, was I worked from 11-7 then slept for an hour and was at the airport at 9 for a quick flight, as I was leaving the airport I wanted to turn left, I pressed in my clutch.

I have dreams of hot starting the PT6, kinda odd.

Ever have the spins after a night at the bottle? I always spin right, so, I imagine throwing in a little left rudder, seems to help.

To slow for a stop light, I pulled the e-brake to dump some flaps Seneca style. It worked!

Ever dreamed you had been flying up north for weeks and on the way home for time off you found you had a drip and some discomfort while having a piss, and your wife knew you were on the way home?

Oh wait that would not be a dream it would be a nightmare.

One thing that drives me crazy is when call center people don't know the phoenetic alphabet and they say stuff like "f as in fred?", you would think that in that sort of position they would learn something so basic! I explained that pet peeve to a non pilot friend and got no sympathy.

Even though I somewhat agree with you, I don't think call centers need something very standardized!

I too have had the under the wires dream, both in fixed and rotary wing aircraft, and I don't even fly helicopters. I've also flown hunters and meat around from sun up to sun down, gone home and dreamed that I was moving hunters and meat around, and then woken up feeling very non rested and had to go do it all again. That's when it's time for a day off.

Sh!t. I thought I was the only one with the wierd wire dream.. With me i'm under a whole field of them crossing each other with only one small hole to find...never have made it.

to finish off the thread line.....after a day of 140mph at 5ft you get in your truck and wonder why its so slow, only to find out the computer governs it to 100 or less.

Weird, I also have had the flying under wires dream since the early sixties..I thought it was because of flying crop dusters.
