Having my Northern-Most SK "girlfriend" call me at 0600 on a Sunday.
From my bosses house.
Drunk.
After she woke up his whole family pounding on the door.
Looking for me....
W.T.F....
Now you all know who I am

Ten plus years ago, chugging along northbound along
the Florida coast IFR in an elderly piston twin, just
south of DAB. Lotsa blue sky. Can't remember why
I was IFR.
Approach controller comes on the radio, asks me if
I see the (european) 747 passing from right to left.
I saw yes.
Approach control says the 747 isn't talking to anybody,
and that I'm cleared to take whatever action I
require to avoid the NORDO 747.
Amazing, approach doesn't even sound pissed off -
he sounds in quite a good mood. Perhaps NORDO
is SOP for Europeans in the USA.

I'm guessing now they'd be met with a F-15 pretty darn quick.Hedley wrote:Perhaps NORDO

Flying a 185 with 3 pax, whisky and beer, just levelling off
at 4500' felt a steady rythmic vibration. Mags ok, gauges
normal: what the ...! Turned slowly to head back home and
noticed back passengers "doing it" rather enthusiastically.
Continued on op's normal.
