I have some of those x-countries too, but I was talking about off standard 2000'agl tows.

I think the longest I ever got was 3.5 hours on a 160nm x-country tow... It was such a bad headwind I saw cars on the highway going faster than us. To top it all off it was only 4 degrees out and I had to pee as soon as we lifted off. I can probably call myself one of the few to land a cadet glider in the dark on an unlit runway... luckily it was very clear out. Oh, fond memories....
