Jesus. I had an appointment booked with Pope in Kitchener next month who wanted $100, but I ended up going to T-Bay early and seeing Lower for only $40. Glad I took that trip!lownslow wrote:$200 in Kitchener, Ontario last week for a Cat 1 renewal. Can't wait to get my processing fee invoice in the mail!

Recently renewed a Cat 1 in London Ontario. $100. If an audiogram was required it would have been an extra $20.
Re: How much do you pay for your "av medical"? ($80 or $120?)
This is an interesting topic as the cost of the medical is really up to the doctor.
Check out the range of prices from this post in January http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopi ... 54&t=38584
While cheapest isn't always best, it pays to call around a bit.

I paid for mine in February and it cost me 155 ... lolcks1984 wrote:Last year when I did my Cat 1 medical (Renew) in Ontario, I paid $ 80.
But, this year I paid $ 120 (I am now in Vancouver).
I still do not know why I had to pay $ 40 more? (for the same Cat 1 Renewal)

$70 for medical
$22 for ECG
$50 for Audiogram
I like it this way due to the fact Audio is only once, ECG is every 1 or 2 yrs so that's under $100 basically
Here in TO with an approved Air Canada AME.
Going up to Thunder Bay in the fall will be another savings!

In 4 medicals with Lower, I have paid $60, $20, $40, and charged one through OHIP, I have no idea how. End of the appointment went something like this:
Me: "So how much do I owe you?"
L: "Well, whats it worth to you?"
Me: "Heard a rumour you were able to put it through on OHIP, I'd appreciate that if its not a huge hassle"
L: "Ok, can I see your health card?"

Just got mine today from Dr. Louw in Invermere. $120, up from $80 last year. + $55 for TC, $25 for ECG, and $10 for the interpretation of the ECG.
Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?

Mediservice in YUL for me too. $225 with ECG and $175 without. Crazy.
Re: How much do you pay for your "av medical"? ($80 or $120?
Sarnia, ON. $125. $35 for ECG. Luckily I only get hosed once a year.

Re: How much do you pay for your "av medical"? ($80 or $120?
I have a booking here in Surrey and was warned that it would be $150.00 plus $20.00 for the ECG. The last medical was adrift for over a year before I had to fight with TC and threaten to hand this to a lawyer. Too bad those twits can't file medicals properly!

Sounds like he did you a favour. I hope nobody rats him out by posting his real name or anything.....Redneck_pilot86 wrote:... Lower...charged one through OHIP, I have no idea how.
