Oh and as for tips, don't expect them but do appreciate them and ALWAYS share with the other staff by buying the beer, pizza, lions share of the restaurant bills, etc....I'm paid well enough that it is gravy to be shared....We don't get it done by ourselves y'know...

Fly safe...

Maybe as well as the sign on the bulkhead begging for tips, you could also get the other stuff cab drivers in third world countries have hanging in the car, like those crown-shaped airfresheners, and the rosary beads on the mirror, and pictures of your thirteen ninos stuck all over the dash. Then you could put on some crappy third-hand clothes, and grow a greasy John-Holmes mustache, don't bathe and shower yourself in cologne. Don't forget the wife-beater with armpit stains. If you want to act like a down-and-out skid you might as well look the part.

Good Luck with the tips.

Otters are for pussies, especially the twin otter, a real man rolls his full 45 gallon drums up the floor of a DC3 all by himself and does ten trips a day.
Yea, right...

I flown the diesel three too...pushing the two 3000# car parts racks
with a power jay bar...that's not how I lost twenty pounds as I did the last five weeks!!!

Anyway, getting that $50 tip, I didnt know if I was
insulted or flattered...as it was the first one in 40+ years of flying...

OK, let's compromise and fly the three on floats...

Pretty sad state of affairs when pilots are begging for tips in my opinion. Hold out for better wages and you don't need them!!

Just a thought..

But as stated before, if you do get them, appreciate them and share them. It is a team effort to get that airplane airborne, from reservations, tour desks, CSA's, dockies, Engineers, they all have a part in the sucessfull trip. Make sure they are appreciated too.. Without them, you wouldn't have the trip..

I'm not Indian, I just live on a reservation(for the $80 taxes a year!)
I just went back flying the Otter like in the old days...

Seriously, the PT6 work great on the Otter!(those thing could NOT happen to them...)

No shit, I posted this as a joke, but read the story on CF-MEL
http://flythebush.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
and realised I flew THAT girl out of Seven Islands in Quebec for Northern Wings,
(les Ailes de la Mort)...
