Re: Women in the bush
For any women that are thinking about flying bush...Right On!!! I've had lots of girls working around bush camps and they are by far more considerate than most men, and maybe they can't lift the heavy loads, but with co-operation, thats not a problem. We need more diversification in this industry...and that bit about companys that only hire "white males"..they usually do have other life-style problems.(ie. homophobia, alcoholism etc.)You can teach a monkey to fly...what makes an aviator is humility.

Re: Women in the bush
I love flying in the north! I moved from the city and I am not looking back. Its been AMAZING! They type of flying is no other. The learning never stops. I am not even considering airlines at this point. Airlines are for later. Honestly, its hard work. There is no way around it. There are days where your body just hurts. You will find you get creative to get jobs done.
Just put your heart into it. When someone says `No`keep going! Never give up!
Good luck!

Ah it woulda been better if I actually got to fly :/
But I did some fueling, office work, lived in a one room cabin with no light... yay me!
I just think about it as one big camping trip
