Good for you .. My kid would be safe with you at the controls. As would yours with me in the left seat.

Fly safe.

The most difficult thing about flying is knowing when to say no.

After over a half a century of flying I can not remember even one trip that I refused to do that resulted in someone getting killed because of my decision not to fly.

., I knew exactly what you were getting it. Just wanted to help make it clear for everyone else. Chronic fatigue is definatly a killer and I'm with you on the fact that duty times and flight time limitations need to be changed for a safer environment. I still don't get how a twin otter crew of all things gets the exemption to fly significantly more than anyone else. Those guys are working twice as hard! Loading and unloading most of the time by themselves in remote locales... They don't call it "Otter Back" for nothing!!

Rowdy it is all about politics, associations, and money.

The mantra that they chant ( TC, The Associations and the puppets that are supposed to represent you in Parliament ) is just a feel good smoke screen that they chant to fool the general population who are either to busy trying to support their famlies or just to fu.kin stupid to care.

It's all about money and power.

You are just another soldier in their working army who is expendable.

Have you noticed that their favorite buzz word is safety?

The only safety they care about is their own financial safety.

But hey, I'm jaded.

Okkee Dokeey...I think I'll get my coat now, now that the fringe has made themselves known. Perhaps I should have a read a few more of the 1500 posts you've made in the last year before I hopped into the mud with you ..

I don't think I need to post a 'smiley' to make it more clear.

G'night.

Fair enough jonny, everyone has their own opinions on this subject.

However if I am "fringe" as you put it maybe a little bit more research on your part would give you a better insite into why I feel this way.

A good start would be having a look at my taking TC to court when I was chief pilot for Air West Airlines in 1974/75.

I took them to Federal Court for failure to support me in enforcing the rules and regulations that were being violated on a daily basis by Air West Airlines.

I won my case against both the airline and Transport Canada and for a short time that airline was forced to abide by the rules.

This is a matter of record and quite easy to prove.

What have you done for safety in aviation that would convince me that I am " fringe " and you are qualified to put me into that category?

That is fair is it not?
