That should get this thread closed up right quick. That's the way any/all threads about the whale kid go. Tick tock.
Re: Orca flying YYJ-YXX?
Please educate us then since i have heard of no one paying for there ppc's anywhere.
Working on a ramp or office is good experience and a good way to get in the door.. and many people other companies do it respectfully (I can name them if you like). If it is not been done respectfully or they are not being paid please inform us. If there wasn't flying you have the option of making some extra cash in the office.. either that or you can go work somewhere else. Unfortunately the nature of seasonal flying means you don't fly ALL year round.
As for high end client to Tofino, i have no idea what you are talking about there. They do fly navajos so what more to do expect? Competition for nicer, bigger aircraft for that route is opening up this summer for that, and that's awesome, and that's business.
As for crews i do not think you can really say the original pilots are any better then the pilots that are there now unless your a judge for some sort of pilot competition contest.
I did hear the CP was trying to start up some of his old ideas but they were quickly shut down. I can not see the owners allowing that. But i have been wrong before.
We don't need a pissing war over this, but you obviously have a hate on, but please justify it with some hard facts, or something that really is worth get pissed off about.
The funny thing is we are probably friends.

1. Pilots at Orca don't pay for PPC's.
2. I am civil with the owner.
3.Planes are kept in good shape
4. There was no comparison between crews from then until now. The current pilots (with the exception of few) don't come close to who used to fly there. You have got to be kidding me. You are obviously new to the 703 racket.
5. Its not a good idea to start arguments with people who may one day be your boss.
Have a good day. I have to go play with my toys.

Wow, I've been reading up on the South Terminal drama for a while now. Sure seems entertaining. Will anyone actually get some facts about the company? Wasn't that the original question?
And the one who keeps on posting trash... were you fired from there? Curious, there are rumors... welcome to YVR South Terminal! Seems similar to a Junior high lunch hour.

Do you get out and interact with people very often?

The Indian lady at the Taco Time at the Richmond mall had to ask her co-worker to help her with counting out my change.....no joke...
I would estimate that she makes approx. $8.00 per hour. How much do you make? Orca F/O's make $8.00 an hour to start...You dont see something wrong with that.
Fired...no
Quit..yes
I took a job with the direct competition and Orca felt it necessary to try and smear me after I built up their company from nothing....
I cant complain though, new luxury car, new condo,....How's your parents basement?? It looks like you need some advice on decision making...
As I said before, I have made amends with the owner of Orca.. I was silent on this topic until someone felt it necessary to negatively involve me...
Lastly, too compare crews past to present is a joke. Orca would have been out of business long ago if wasnt for a group of certain pilots that have moved onto much bigger and better things...It was hard to leave the $50.00 keg gift certificate behind but they managed. There is a reason those pilots are now at Sunwing, Jazz, AC, LAS...etc....and the current crew is stuck spinning their wheels.
Have fun loading papers tonight....

ORCA = Scum Management.........Scum Bidding Practices........I wonder how you sleep at night? Does the prayer really help? How many more stocks can you cash in to stay afloat?
However, all of the Pilots and maintenance staff are top notch. It is unfortunate that they are guilty by association to their employer. As earlier posted by a someone else, these whale bashing posts do come from past discretions. This business plan failed once, and history WILL repeat itself. It is just a matter of time..... Until then we remember our fallen friends.... Lest We Forget
