My dad used to fly one of these off a gravel road and 'hangared' it in a farm yard.

Piper J3 with no electrics..off a grass strip...i was 7 or 8, then a 170, then an L-19 uummm maybe thats why I like conventional gear aircraft

PWA's Lockheed Electra in the early 70's. Landed at CYXD at night. It was very exciting! I still remember getting a tasty sandwich with baby pickles and the pretty "stews".

My first flight was in a Sea Bee too. My dad had one in the mid fifties. He took the wheels off it to lighten the plane and because there were no airstrips near Chapleau at the time.

Whatever Canadian flew from Cranbrook to Vancouver in the late 80's. A Dash 8 I'm assuming.

Either a 180 a 182 or a taylorcraft bc12d. All of which would of been before 6 months old.. My dad told me it was the only way to get me to sleep
