Everyone is a drama queen when the cameras are rolling.
More often then not, its what these shows focus on. Soap operas for men. Pathetic!

Narrative:Initial information received from T.S.B. Initial Notification [#A09O0071]: The Buffalo Airways Curtiss C46 aircraft (C-FAVO) had departed from Koper Lake Ice Strip destined for Geraldton, Ontario. After a southbound departure, the flight crew decided to complete an eastbound, low-level inspection of the southern end of the airstrip, specifically the newly-made turnaround area. While manoeuvring at treetop level, at an airspeed of 140kts, the crew encountered a wind gust and struck a tree with the left wingtip. The flight crew elected to continue the flight to Geraldton, where the aircraft was landed without further incident. Maintenance staff repaired the wingtip and returned the aircraft to service.

Really? First show and 3 aircraft, 3 engine problems and a delay with no back-up A/C. I know this stuff happens from time to time but this made it look like it happens everyday....to ensure nothing is aired that is going embarrass his company or get his phone ringing from Transport.
No he doesn't.Hot Fuel wrote:On a side note I would assume that Joe has say as to the final product that is shown to ensure nothing is aired that is going embarrass his company or get his phone ringing from Transport.

If any other engineers saw it, what do you think caused the #2 engine to have problems?
It was the one that a recent magneto replaced, they flew it and then it started to run rough and shake. They did a shutdown procedure on it, and it wouldnt feather.
They didn't say what the problem was, so of course Im just dieing to know. I have my guess, but I would have loved to have heard exactly what happened!
I think it could have been some debris or FOD in the oil, that took out the last prop governor and the new one they put on. Either by blocking orfices or something. The engine could have or maybe did make a ton of metal, and I would like to see the insides haha.
Anywho, we'll hopefully find out next episode!
