We have a long standing agreement amongst several of us; if any of us goes to work for TC, the rest will kick him in the balls repeatedly until he comes to his senses. 8)

Another Kind Of CFI

Post by Shtinky »

Well boys and girls there is definitely another kind of CFI out there. I'm not 21 but I'm not "one of these older guys" I've been chasing the airline dream for quite some time and now I'm tired of it. Why? Because I've seen how much b.s. can happen at flight schools. Some of you probably have read the extremely hot thread on WWFC and understand what I'm talking about. Because of all the changes happening at this particular flight school my spirit has been crushed. I'm thinking that if this is what I have to put up with for the next 5 to 10 years then I'm going to kiss the whole dream good bye. Instead I would like to become a CFI. I've seen several job postings for CFI out in B.C. or Alberta. Multi-time? You can have it cuz I ain't going anywhere. I want to go to a job that I have a passion for and be surrounded by people. Instead of pushing heavy iron around I want to be at home every night. Some day it would be cool to get married. Especially if I ever have kids I'd want to be home every night. You can be sitting in the cockpit of an Airbus380 but I doesn't mean that you'll be happy. As for me I have a strong passion for aviation but there's other very important things in life that I can't neglect. Just reading over my post...I think I do sound like I'm one of the "older guys"
I probably have wisdom beyond my years for my own particular situation.
