Just had mine done in October in Kelowna at Vivid Laser Centre....I didn't have to worry about the licensing issue though as I'm an AME. In YVR area the Coal Harbour Eye Center is highly recommended from several friends of mine who have gone there and they were originally my first choice of where I was going to go.

I have been thinking about getting my eyes done. Still kind of waying the pros and cons and the risks involved.

The other things to consider are the cost of the surgery and if health insurance covers a portion of the procedrure(I can get some of it covered) however I am not sure if they will cover me while I am off work with no medical.

Does anyone know what the policy is for hiring pilots that have had the procedure done at Air Canada, Westjet, Jazz, etc?
Are there any North American airlines that don't accept appilcants that have had it done?

Thanks
