If there's no pay, it certainly doesn't belong in the job ads section. I removed the posting, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Re: Slave Labour?
you guys wana talk slave labour, well I once was aproached by a F***** head photographer who asked if i had an aircraft that i can fly and take a photographer a long to do aerial shoots, well I told him yes i do but i take atleast $35 per hour
for flying plus plane and fuel.
After a quick agreement i did a hold bunch of flights and sure enough , when it was pay day he started crying to me saying that not all the photos are good , and there wasnt much life to them and i should consider paying for some of his loss, and he also mentioned that in the past years pilots flew for him for FREE..
I just said 4 words that ended the conversation real quik..
PAY ME or DIE!!!

Re: Slave Labour?
And then you look over in the 'Buffalo Rampie' thread...
And there's always gonna be someone willing to take advantage of em to make a buck, and there's always gonna be some old dude around telling them 'how lucky they are kid - we all start at the bottom, and quit your whining the world don't owe you a living'
And it moves on up - a year or so at Buffalo being treated like that on the ramp for maybe a chance to fly one of those crates, and kids are gonna be practically paying them for the chance at a Challenger and on and on it goes...
Its a screwed up life - and we take it, because every thing else aside there's nothing else we'd rather do.
That's the thing in this godforsaken industry - there are always gonna be kids who having paid out 10's of thousands of dollars learning to fly, are so glad that someone will let em use an airplane and pay em for it, that they'll accept any wage and be happy for it.HS-748 2A wrote:Exactly.casey wrote:Some low time guys/girls will hope fully jump at the chance.Instead of sitting in the basement wondering why AC WJ PD ect will not hire me after all i am a pilot.Give it a try have some fun make some new contacts and move on after.THE ONLY TIME YOU START AT THE TOP IS WHEN YOUR OUR 6 FEET UNDER.
