Re: ORNGE Hiring
I've gotten several PMs about this as well - I won't be able to provide any firm information on when that will be.nopantsparty wrote:Hey,

Hi there,
We are still currently reviewing applications. Any direct questions or inquiries into an application can be forwarded to our human resources department at hr@ornge.ca
Good luck

Re: ORNGE Hiring
Any idea why January? Just curious if Ornge has any expansion plans or if this is due to projected attrition?rocco1 wrote:the hiring will be in jenuary. It is still early for the phone calls

Re: ORNGE Hiring
That video was posted one month ago, but I wonder when it was actually filmed? I've heard rumblings about more PC-12's coming but Ornge has been very quiet lately. Hmmmmm
Re: ORNGE Hiring
So does anyone have/heard any info on hiring, how many and the most important question as to when?

Re: ORNGE Hiring
I'm curious, why would they advertise for a vacancy in September, if they have no intention of hiring until January?
Re: ORNGE Hiring
So any updates on Ornge? I understand that someone heard January, so does that mean they are hiring for Ground Schools in January? If so calls should be going out pretty soon! Anyone know something concrete?
I guess with the YHM announcement, they need pilots for there new base, or I suppose the northern bases for those southerners who are going to transfer.
Any salary info for F/O's? I see captains are $76k. How about schedule?
Do they send new hires to SIMCOM in Florida or is all the training on the aircraft done out of your base of hire in the actual aircraft?

Re: ORNGE Hiring
F/O salaries are 42k year + any overtime you might incur.
So far, everybody has been to SIMCOM, FOs and Capts. But don't quote me on that for the new hires.
About the new hires getting a YHM spot... you can very much kiss that dream good bye
All the YHM openings will most likely be filled internally, leaving open spots in YTS and YXL most likely.

Re: ORNGE Hiring
Well I figured they would probably be the case. Are they hiring F/O's??? There minimums where more along the line for Captain and I don't exactly meet those requirements. Any idea when the HR department is going to start making phone calls?Capt_sky wrote:F/O salaries are 42k year + any overtime you might incur.

Um sea-legs, this is AvCanada, not an employment agency. Here rumours start or continue every 30 minutes. By the way you are asking questions, I don't think you have to worry about getting hired. Most employees ask intelligent questions.
Since the medevac business is a little more high pressure, i.e. urgency, weather and remote, poorly maintained locations they want EXPERIENCED pilots to fly their aircraft.

What little I do know is either not important or I've forgotten it!

Anyone know what they are paying for supply chain positions on the aviation side?

Types of questions, both personal and technical? Any infomation is appreciated, oh yeh...and what's the best way to get there from YYZ??
Thanks!
Thanks!

Anyone know where new hires will be based? Specifically Captains
Re: ORNGE Hiring
expect YXL and YTS mostly for new hires, maybe sprinkle in some YQT for the lucky ones

Re: ORNGE Hiring
anytime! Best of luck to those applying. Couldn't ask for a better place in this industry if you're not looking for heavy metal.
Re: ORNGE Hiring
Has anyone heard from ORNGE for interviews yet? What is their hiring process?

You sir, are a very disgruntled and unhappy individual. Most if not all of your posts are pretty negative. I don’t care how long you’ve been in this industry, or how much you sacrificed. I would never want you in my flight deck. I hope your attitude changes one day, especially if you eventually get on with the OMNR….….because you would surely be voted out of the crew house.
