Interview and medical both finished. They called my current company. Just wondering how good a sign this is and how long it usually takes for the next step from here.

Thanks all for the help...

In the last round, that was the last step. If your employer gets the call your chances are good you will be hired... unless they didn't like ya!

I just got the call to Interview in December and would appreciate any info regarding the process and type of questions. Yes I have been researching on AvCanada and using this info, I am just trying to find more detailed and up-to-date information from the interviewing done this year. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

For those who have received the call, how many hours do you have? (just so I can relate with my 2800 hrs). :goodman:

Showing vacancies for 7 more positions across the system on the December equipment bid on top of the 51 on the last bid. Should be an additional 2 classes in early 2011.

7 new positions, but they also needed to fill in for retirements. That's the 61 people, + the 50 some odd from last bid for a total of somewhere around 110.

Thats my questions, is it a total like 51+61 or a rolling number;or, interpreted as we hired 20, now we can hire 61 more Ie/ 81 total?

People with a greater knowledge of the system than me will no doubt pipe up here. My belief is that this 61 is in addition to the number posted before.

The 61 new positions on this bid are in addition to the 10 new hires that already started this past November and are now showing as active on this bid...So in other words "71" total new hire positions since hiring began...10 already on the property...61 still to come...

Cheers!

Wasn't there some people who started ground school last week though? So that would make it 81?

The latest bid only shows the 10 New Hire's from November...The December crs is not included therefore those positions still show as vacant...So basically you've got 61 open positions, subtract 8 for the December crs; 53 new positions still remain open...

Cheers!

Jazz guys were hired, and those were the only ones with 705 time. All the other ones that we've seen have only been 703 drivers, and 2 or 3 704. Guess we all leave our Dash Capt positions and head down to the King air's!!!!!

For those of you who have gotten called recently, quick question... I got the email about a week ago with the options for interview dates for January. I emailed back the same day and have still not received the confirmation of the exact interview date. How long does this normally take?? I need to start making sure I have those days off work but i have no idea how long it's gonna be.

And before anyone asks, I have about 4600 hrs, just over 3000 turboprop, of which just under 1000 is PIC. Degree yes, French no

@FrankieW

Submitted my preferred January interview dates by email last week, was notified yesterday by email of the chosen interview day. The email said that the detailed information about what documents to bring, what to expect, etc, will follow in another email shortly. Hope you find out soon and maybe I'll see you there!

I got a question about the medical. I have a mild colour deficiency. I do have a class 1 medical with no restrictions. Would Air Canada have a problem with this during their medical.

Takes a while for them to get back to you initially. Don't panic, and if you don't hear anything after 2-3 weeks, give them a call.
