Re: AC C2 & TC!
yep, there sure is, whatever the security charge is for the particular airport . My understanding is YVR-YYC 8 dollars. For me a round trip on AC 93.00 even if I ride in the jumpseat of the aircraft I fly. I would get reimbursed for the service charge, but they made it such a pain in the ass, I don't bother for the 15.00.
Some days I think what it could be like if we were a seperate airline and able to jumpseat like WJ pilots, oh wait we are a seperate airline,WTF!

I'm sure if you wanted the same deal as WJ pilots get, it could be arranged! Since Jazz is now a separate airline and you want the same recip jump seat arrangement then ask ALPA if you could get rid of the C2 passes. That way you would be just like WJ!mbav8r wrote:yep, there sure is, whatever the security charge is for the particular airport . My understanding is YVR-YYC 8 dollars. Nahhh! .. Where would the fun be in that?! .. What would you have to bitch about then? Well I guess the fact that we exist would move one notch up the ladder, but other then that?! .. I think we'll just keep the C2's ..hypoxic wrote:I'm sure if you wanted the same deal as WJ pilots get, it could be arranged! You really need to get over the pass policy .. It makes you look like a pathetic whiner everytime you raise the issue.

Re: AC C2 & TC!
No employee; Either Jazz or AC, is supposed to use passes for the purposes of personal gain outside AC work, or personal travel.
For instance, if I own a business and have a business meeting in New York; I am not allowed to use my AC passes to get to that meeting. That is explained in both AC and Jazz company groundschools.
So the only question then is how does AC view TC work?

Re: AC C2 & TC!
Two completely seperate issues, the C2s are part of the CPA agreement. The reciprical j/s is an agreement between two seperate airlines. A way to get to work for free instead of just under a 100.00. Don't worry guys, you too, will feel the pain of either paying to get to work or losing bargaining capital because of it, either way here comes the crowbar, hopefully they use some lube for you.

Is the deadhead policy for Jazz vs TC crews different when flying on AC?
Re: AC C2 & TC!
Nope - many of the 757 pairings have DH's on AC to/from YYZ, YHZ, YUL.hypoxic wrote:Is the deadhead policy for Jazz vs TC crews different when flying on AC?

Re: AC C2 & TC!
Technically there is a difference. The crews that DHD were not "POS," they were booked on confirmed seats. No J-class upgrades either, they're in the system as "regular" pax. I was told this by some FAs I was chatting to who were DHD to YHZ.4Stroke wrote:Nope - many of the 757 pairings have DH's on AC to/from YYZ, YHZ, YUL.hypoxic wrote:Is the deadhead policy for Jazz vs TC crews different when flying on AC?
I know when pilots were in ATL doing their training, I heard they were told that they could NOT use their travel passes to return to YYZ on their days off. Those that wanted to go home on days off had to use the recip j/s program with US airlines to go back-forth between ATL and YYZ.

All crew positioning for the TC operation involves regular restricted tickets on AC. Originally, tickets were being sourced through travel brokers and would often see non-AC services booked until the light bulb went on that AC should treat the Jazz/TC crew positioning flights the same as corporate travel for any high volume institutional customer. Therefore, a win-win for both AC and Jazz.
Go figure...........AC has figured out a way to make money off of the TC work

Re: AC C2 & TC!
There are actually loads of "positioning" flights to and from YHZ (from YYZ) for February and March. Don't be surprised to see some Jazz cabin crew sporting Aeroplan Prestige cabin baggage tags in the near future.
All of our positioning flights are TangoPlus.
