If you decide that it is not financially viable for you and your family it is 100% your decision.

I do recommend that you attend the interview as it is always good practice for the day that you actually want the position you are applying for.

I would like to think that ACPA will prioritize new hire conditions and pay in the upcoming negotiations. We rejected a deal that would have had new hires on flat pay for 4 years before entering formula pay and forced into a DC pension. I am cautiously optimistic that the conditions for new hires will improve with our next negotiations.

Au contraire. If you are not interested or don't think it'll work for you, leave the interview spot for someone who actually wants the job.

Go to the interview learcapt, it would appear that you are "interested", otherwise, you wouldn't have submitted an application.

Apart from the fact that an interview allows the employer to meet and take a look at you, this is also your opportunity to get information directly from the employer. Afterwards, you will be better armed to make an informed decision as to whether or not, among other things, you can afford to make the move.

Best of luck!

I definately will be going anyhow. It is the least I can do for their interest. :)
