You will find that "pond" is a term many of us Atlantic Canadians affectionately refer to the North Atlantic as.

Well are you ready for it?..........Our new tie clips have been delayed, they were promised sometime ago and still not here, going to have to keep using my original. Which is OK, I really like the old one. That is the first bit of news, second bit, busy summer of flying coming up, last but not least jetpilot is not a good source of info.
All is well with the gang at TSC, just the regular aviation up and downs, no different than anywhere else.
Oh yeah one last thing, had a couple of hotel changes, went from one 4 star to another 4 star.

Are you guys seriously trying to predict the airline industry 18 months from now?!?
Re: Canjet 757's ?
we'll start by celebrating our 25th anniversary, and then we'll work on the next 25...

The tie clip part was quite funny too!
Its always good to keep perspective, non?
...yup, sounds familiar!

Re: Canjet 757's ?
Well now, that's not entirely accurate, is it? Perhaps jetpilot isn't as uninformed as we all hoped, is he? C'mon, 6030; better to not post at all than to post misdirection, don't you think?60N30W wrote:...last but not least jetpilot is not a good source of info.Takeoff OK wrote:So? Takeoff OK,
What misdirection are you referring to?
I stand by what I said, all is well at TSC, just the regular ups and downs of an airline.

Re: Canjet 757's ?
Jetpilot was so confident about what he was predicting .... and now he lost face.
Everybody just chill and stop pretending to ''know the ins'' of the airlines. Management don't know themselves.

Re: Canjet 757's ?
No 757 for Canjet, saw the internal memo dated 28 Feb.
I'm sure a lot of pilots are disappointed as they saw themselves flying the 57.
I heard people saying it was a done deal and the aircraft were leased.
Don't believe it until you see it!

1 - that all is well at TSC, and
2 - that jetpilot is not a reliable source of information.
From what I've gleaned, things could be not so all is well towards the end of 2013, and while jetpilot was not necessarily correct, he was also not completely wrong.
I was not attacking you, and if I came off that way then it was a keyboard vs. conversation issue. But as I said before, I feel that your statements were not entirely accurate and, as such, were misleading. No big deal.
Re: Canjet 757's ?
I dont know who Jetpilot is, but, i wouldnt attack him like that.
even tho gut feeling told some of us in the company that we wouldnt get 757, in the month of jan and feb, we were made believe by many comments that it was supposed to be a done deal.
from the FA stand point here, i would say by feb 15 we were all talking about this 757.
i got my memo when stepped out to grab a cofee in KFLL and told the crew the not so good news and it was disappointing.
Like i said don t be hars to jetpilot as it really was what we were all believing.

Re: Canjet 757's ?
The only reason for CanJet to be considering 757's would have been an expanded services agreement with Groupe Transat. It still would have left CJ with the obligation to be the principal lessor and to find a deployment for the aircraft (either crewed or simply subleased) in the off season. Lots of moving parts and probably just couldn't get all of the pieces in place.
Re: Canjet 757's ?
Rudder if Transat A.T. has any of their carriers operating 757s it will be year round. This was not the reason for the deal falling through.
Andy, from what I have heard Transat A.T. was proceeding full speed ahead with Canjet 757s and changed their mind very shortly before signing the agreement.

Re: Canjet 757's ?
Any updates on CanJet 757's operated for Groupe Transat? Rumour is airTransat ALPA has recently agreed to an LOU deferring pay increases and permitting year round 757 operations at CJ commencing 2013.

Rudder,
There is nothing in the LOU about 757 operations at CJ or any other carrier. Care to say where exactly you heard that rumour?

Re: Canjet 757's ?
That is why I labelled it 'rumour'. It did however emanate from a source loosely connected to CJ.
Just curious - is there any restriction in the AT Pilot Agreement that would preclude Transat AT from subcontracting B757 lift as it is classified as a narrowbody?
