Re: Call the type
Well, I just finished checking myself and C-GJKG new owner out this afternoon.
There was absolutely nothing scary or difficult in regards to a self checkout!!! Colonel Sanders was right! She was a pussy cat! (Nice to have met you the other day... Turns out CS is a half decent guy... Although I was rather jealous of his hanger and multiple toys housed in it!!!)
Pictures and review of Max Holste MH 1521-C1 Serial #21 to follow in the next couple of days!

Yeah, after a while you realize that anyone you finda self checkout
to give you dual probably doesn't know any more
about it than you do. It's got a wing that pushes air
down and an engine that pushes air back (shrug).
Nice to have met you too! My apologies for what I
said about airline pilots as we put that massive door
back on the track.

The new owner although not "new" to the industry, had never flown a fix wing aircraft bigger than his Bellanca (and this AC was no more difficult that a Scout!) and had never operated anything with a round engine.
I was "at the right place at the right time" and having some experience with the R985 gave him the few "golden nuggets" that had been passed to me over the years. I certainly made it very clear that I had no previous experience on type.
On another note...
That hangar door was a goat f**k!!! I fully agreed with your comments that morning. Fear not as
I have no intent of ever going to that facet of aviation... if I ever did.... Well... Seriously! How to operate a freaking hangar door 101!!! (not to mention the simple curtousy of leaving a post-it note/voicemail saying "sorry, messed up your door on the way out, please be aware of my mistake")
