You know...I've said it before...Rebel is a true die hard for the company he/she works for (AC). No matter what internal issues or problems, he/she will defend his/her company over and over.Rebel wrote:Pygmie
No one seems to have any pictures of the -8 or at least pictures that their willing to share but the -330 is flying again minus its left winglet.
A true professional.
I guess that may be the reason he/she is at the top of his/her game.
We could all stand to learn a trick or two from Rebel.

Hi,
Pardon the intrusion, but I could'nt help but notice what Pratt was saying about the two aircraft's wingtips. Given the height of the A330 above the ground, plus the dihedral on the wings, I find it hard to visualize the 330's wingtip even coming close to touching the Dash 8's wingtip. The tail on the other hand, might be possible.

Not sure about the "rippiling down the fuse"????? Looks good to me....?-8partspig wrote:Not sure about repair costs. The info that I recieved is that the damage extends all the way down to the cargo door. Rippling in the fuse..
The Horiz Stab is still off and its still outside the barn...
Horiz Stab has internal damage, last I heard Brad is looking for a replacment, Jazz will install it and ferry flight (NOT JAZZ DRIVERS) back to Bombardier and they will jig it up...
I should have taken some pictures... big mess.

How does that work? Do they remove the second winglet, or can the a/c be MELed (CDLed?) to fly without the winglet? Wouldn't that be a little... uneven? I guess the change in flight characteristics might not be that noticeable from the cockpit, but it'd be interesting to see what sort of difference that'd make.

At $90 a bucket no one makes it outta the red unless fare levels take a big hike. Sorry to discount Clive, but I don't think that makes any sense.Flightlevels wrote:our costs are in line to make money at $90 / barrell oil. Can many other airlines say that. This from the CEO. bloodbath for the rest. wait till southwest runs outta hedge.
