Really..you need the Captains permission to get some food? So if the Captain says no then you don't eat?

You guys are making this more complex and derogatory than it needs to be. The f/a's work hard, if one of them needs food, one way or another the front end will see that it happens.

No complexity here. Our friend just needs to understand how professions/skills/educations work in this fine land.

Lets play a game called "who works harder/does the dirty work for their money"
1. Dental Hygienist or Dentist
2. Legal Assistant or Lawyer
3. Sales associated or Starbucks franchise owner etc.

As someone mentioned prior, if you would enjoy a job of "pushing buttons" all you need to do is apply for said position. Should be easy enough. All the best Ravensrule

I also respect every pilot's training and abilities to get everyone to the destination during normal and abnormal situations. I also appreciate pilots buying me a beer at the end of the day. I return the favour to captains and FOs whom I have built a rapport. My words got taken for as complaining, however I was highlighting the a couple of differences that 1:50 has brought to the back end. I try to plan my lunch accordingly, so that we are all able to get home or to the hotel for a drink as close to on time at the end of the day. I have been fortunate enough to commute home in the FD numerous times and I am certainly aware of the thousands of hours of training/studying/stress that it takes to fly airplanes- thank you guys for the hard work.

To the rest of the non-WJ pilots, if you are ever commuting on my flight I will offer you a crew water, more snacks, and a sandwich after we have gone through with service.

Ravensrule, for what its worth I knew what you were saying. The 1:40 is a severe PIA on through flights/short turns. Its tough too, with split crews to keep track of who needs what.

It all makes long days longer. You guys pull the rabbit out of the hat over and over. Kudos

Pilot forum? Really? I wish more non-pilots would join the forum. Might bring some respect, objectivity, and and lot less ego. :prayer:
