Broken how I don't know, and I didn't care to ask as it no longer concerns me... but an HR guy here at the centre mentioned that he was going to spend the afternoon calling people and telling them their results because of problems with the website.

I wish they would hurry up and call me...one way or the other I want the suffering to end. I am officially over 8 weeks now waiting for my in person interview results. It's painful, especially when they told me it would take 3-4 weeks tops. Once I decided this is what I wanted to do I waited for a few years to even apply so that I could save enough money to attend the program if I got the offer...so I feel like I've been waiting 5 years now.

I called again today and was told again "hopefully by the end of next week." Same answer since the beginning of March.

I wouldn't hold my breath...I figure if I am green on the interview by the time I get results I might have a crack at next springs session instead of this years fall session.

Not that I would have minded personally (I am French Canadian), but my wife has an amazing career here in TO, so it wouldn't make sense to leave that. Given all that I didn't see the point of going further with the application.

Good luck to the rest of you.
Bad move my friend. If you apply in Toronto you will either work in Toronto ACC if accepted IFR or one of the towers in Toronto FIR if accepted for VFR. If I were you, I would call them back. I've never heard of anyone, anywhere being sent out of the FIR that they applied in.

I am in the same boat. Waiting waiting. Was told 2 weeks tops. It's been 5. Has anyone heard anything recently?

My timeline is exceptionally long. I first applied and wrote my on-line assessment January of 2013, wrote my in-person 15 months later (April 3rd 2014), got the green light April 12th for passing the in-person but I've been stuck waiting ever since. 16 months and counting...

Rspencer, 16 months isn't really exceptionally long it is actually pretty close to standard. It took me around 22 months and there was another trainee who took almost 3 years (now that is exceptionally long). One thing about The Nav Canada training, the company and the job in General is you need patience. I'm pretty sure that when I was in your shoes I wore out the touch screen on my phone while refreshing he dash board on the hiring site. The NavCan hiring team is a very helpful group and they have a big job to do. The process is there for a reason and it think that while it isn't perfect, they do a fantastic job.

I think that confidence is a must but try not to sound like you are being inconvenienced or are entitled to something just because you're waiting (you're not the only one to do this) I do know that the team in recruitment reads these boards and some of the screen names aren't all that annonomouys.

I wish all of you luck in the process.

Just my 2cents

When it comes right down to it I don't have that much of a problem with the waiting overall, or the waiting BETWEEN stages, it's the WAITING FOR THE RESULTS part that gets me. I fully knew going into it I might be waiting a few years to get a training seat (if I was lucky enough). Once I complete a stage like the assessment, or the interview however, I get anxious when I don't get the results within the time frame that they told me. Tomorrow will be 9 weeks since my in person interview and I have no results yet, that's 3 times longer than I was told to expect an answer, one way or the other. Overall though, I have to say that I feel my progression through the stages has been pretty quick.

I have the same issue nfpeanut, I've got all the patience in the world and I don't really mind waiting if I know the progress/situation. From what I know you can pass the in-person assessment (which I did) and still not get a call because others placed higher then you in the process. That makes sense to me but if I'm one of the individuals who didn't place in the top group, why not tell me I passed the exam but that I won't be receiving an interview. As it stands now, I have no clue whether or not I should be expecting a call (although I really hope I do haha).

I'm not losing hope though!

I hear ya and completely empathize. The silence can be deafening. Best of luck! The best things in life are worth waiting for. Just think, if and when they do call it will be that much more special and you will appreciate it even more.

Well after the first 16 months the idea of working for NavCan was starting to become a distant memory and then I get the email saying they are inviting me to a testing session. Needless to say I was thrilled! hahah

Thanks and hopefully i'll hear soon!

Anyone on here do the in person testing in Mississauga on March 27? Just an update I got my green light for that testing on April 14, did my phone interview on April 24, got my green light from that phone interview May 5 and now getting my docs ready to send to Ottawa and will wait for the in-person call.

Like everyone else it's really hard to know where we are in the process but I've gathered a lot of good information from this board, so I will continue to be patient and work through the process. Hopeful that the in person is sooner then later, however I don't know where I fall in the standings so not hoping for quick results.

So I spoke with the interviewer today about booking the time to do the actual interview. I was amazed that he wanted to do it in like 2 hours????? I was unable to do it today so its booked for Thursday.

Gives me a chance to prepare my self.

I got the green light for my in-person interview today! I've been placed in the YYZ IFR stream, which I'm not thrilled about since I would prefer VFR, but I'm glad I'm finally beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Congratulations! I wouldn't worry too much about that. I was also placed in the YVR IFR stream, but was then placed on a VFR course.

Thanks everybody! I'll give the recruitment coordinators a call and make sure that they have VFR down as my preference. Now the big question is if I'm offered an IFR course, do I take it or hold out for a VFR one that may never come.. tough decisions ahead!

Awesome!! Congrats to you DHC-1 Jockey. That's fantastic news for sure. Best of luck to you going forward. Hopefully that also means there is an easing in the back log and more of us will know soon as well.
