It seems to me that crew refers to those essential to the flight. Seems a student would qualify as essential to a training flight.


Common sense should prevail..

B52. I too, would like you to Know what things TC is missing that medicals provide.

No, you should read the CARs. A crew member is defined as "a person who is assigned to duty in an aircraft during flight time, or assigned to duty related to the operation of a remotely piloted aircraft system during flight time".
