We run the boats stern front on the right side just like the previous owner did. Handles great just about 10 knots slower. The boat is outside the prop wash due to the fact that the steel struts on the Norseman are used to hold the boat rack.

Perterdillon: I love the photo of the Norseman with the boat tied on the side, but you state that you fly them with the stern forward yet the photo shows the boat bow forward. Am I confused or?
I have seen this done many times and flown other types of float planes with external loads and always flew them stern forward, :?:

My apologies I meant bow not stern. Worse than it sounds as I spent most of my life in the marine business. We always fly they them BOW forward on the Norseman and they handle like a dream. If you didnt notice the drop in airspeed you wouldnt know it was on there. Never tried it that way on the Beaver though.
