Yes, an AirCruiser, powered with a P&W Hornet engine. January 1962. On Lake Winnipeg, south of Berens River. Forced landing due to engine failure, enroute Lac du Bonnett to Norway House. We lucked in,as the weather stayed clear, winds were fairly light (relative term), but in the -30's every morning.

They are allowing me to leave but can't land at one of their airports, it has to be direct out.
So I am going to Bolivia(SLGY) and from there finally delivering this one to the owner in Argentina, maybe in two days.
I'll post something after, right now flying long legs and have a scattered brain...
Can't believe I didn't even put my toes in the water in Puerto Plata !!

I can see, Rowdy, by your photos, that you are shivering a lot - you should bite the bullet and buy a SnowGoose!

I actually have a very nice and super (almost too warm) North Face Mcmurdo parka.. The problem is the low light setting on my camera does not have the image stabilization... That and my hands still shake from the accident

CRR has been stored for the past seven years in an Air France hangar at Orley airport in Paris.

I flew that thing all over Africa, Europe and South America from 1996 until 2000.

Maybe someday Franklin will her her flying again.

CRR in her glory days....Lake Kariba Zimbabwe.

I remember Johnny M. and you, but I cannot figure out who Pete is?What's his last initial. I was just an apprentice who had the momentous task of paint stripping those cansos. We used to wobble pump the Turco on and wait for the girls from the office to use the washrooms. When they past by, we would shove off from the top of the wing, a great mass which would splatter everything within ten feet. Soon after we would hear howling coming from the womens washroom.Wasn't too long before Porter came out and read us the riot act.
