Re: Enerjet
Yes, they have the Liberal charter contract...and the aircraft is going back at the end of this month..
Re: Enerjet
Well they hit a snag with the liberal charter ... Looks like they are subcontracting.
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/pol ... le1958366/The Liberals originally expected Calgary-based Enerjet, headed by WestJet Airlines Ltd. co-founder Tim Morgan, to supply a newer model Boeing 737.
But Enerjet's spiffy Boeing 737-800 needs to be returned to its lessor at the end of March, so that has forced a change in plans.

Re: Enerjet
Flair is part of Enerjet's team??? Ha ha - I guess that is one way you can spin it.....sounds a lot better than scrambling last minute to salvage a commitment they couldn't keep.
The next question to be asked is - why did Enerjet wait until the last minute before notifying the Liberal Party of this? Do you really think a) that the Liberal's would have selected Enerjet had they known that the lease on the 800 was scheduled to be going back to the lessor right in the middle of the election campaign and b) Why would Enerjet promise an 800 if they knew it was a planned return that would have fallen during the election?
Maybe it wasn't planned...
But who knows.......
You can only polish a turd so much - it's still a turd.

Enerjet partners with Flair Air
Date: March 27, 2011
Enerjet is pleased to welcome Flair Air to our election air charter team, which will be serving the Liberal Party of Canada during the 2011 federal election campaign.
The addition of Flair provides greater depth and flexibility to our air charter service. Recent situations in other parts of the world have put unforeseen pressure on the aviation industry to move people and cargo in and out of distressed regions. Many aircraft have been repositioned as a result, reducing the inventory available for domestic charter flying in Canada. By teaming up with Flair Air, Enerjet can respond more efficiently and effectively to client needs during this period of high demand.
Enerjet is a Canadian registered airline headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. Flair Air is a Canadian registered airline headquartered in Kelowna, British Columbia.

The EnerFlair Iggy Express B734 is on the move. Interesting that they use an Enerjet callsign.

Re: Enerjet
It sounds like Enerjet is getting a new aircraft. I also heard that they have a new contract with an airline in the Caribbean. Anyone knows what airline and what type of equipment they will be flying?

And isn't there an obligation to have at least 1 aircraft to keep your OC valid? When do they lose it?

Re: Enerjet
In fact, prior to the B738 going back to Europe, they were doing a lot of flying. Often 5+ days per week and up to 8 legs per day.
