Most recent experience was RFC in 2021 Thriving club culture, good supervision of junior instructors and an adequate number of aircraft. OFC; nice place, nice people but not enough aircraft to get bookings consistently.

RFC is a shadow of its former self. Think the culture there is good? You should have seen it back in the day… BBQ’s, Casino nights, group fly destinations etc…
At least TC got one hell of a great guy when the club pushed the best CFI it could have ever wished for out!
With that said, if you live near by, it’s probably your best bet.

Damn, that sounds like it was amazing. Is there any club like that on the West coast?TeePeeCreeper wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 9:40 pmRFC is a shadow of its former self. Think the culture there is good? You should have seen it back in the day… BBQ’s, Casino nights, group fly destinations etc…

There’s also Smith’s Falls flying club which depending on where you live, may be the same drive as heading to Rockcliffe or Ottawa.
While snooping around, i had a look at the dual rates. I can’t believe how much it has increased. Not within a lot of people’s reach anymore I’m sure.

I second Smiths Falls, great setup there and no lengthy delays getting to the practice are.
