1000 hp the caravan looks a little heavy. Kind of reminds me of the old days. Load it until the back of the floats are just about under. Although that just might be the way carvans are loaded. Never have even been in one.

You really want me to be "honest"?? Seriously, the floats are kinda skinny at the back end, and if I were seriously overloaded, the waterline would be between the step supports. Passengers tend to get wet feet frequently though, and it does help to speed them on their way I did get hung up on a rock on this trip though, and had to get into the water up to my belly button to lift the float off the rock. No damage but I looked like a girl for awhile

#1...... It looks like too busy a situation to be taking stitch photos. With everything moving around it would be hard to line it all up.

What focal length is that? Smallest I have is 24mm, but seeing all that cool wide stuff I think I should pick up an 18.

Definitely not #3 and #4, you can see the different colour in the sky from different exposure levels, 2 looks like a normal panoramic shot, so I'd have to say #1 is the fisheye.

NONE.... Yup, they're all stitches. Some are obvious, and others are not. The color differences are a dead give away as you saw, but the glacier is much more the effect of a proper "fisheye" lens. You'll always have some pretty extreme distortion with a Fisheye. The top one of me slinging the timbers has one really big give away it's a stitch, anyone see it?

My smallest lens is a 24mm 2.8, but I'm desparately trying to justify the FLAT 14mm that Canon makes, F1.6 or something, but it's $2500. The "fisheye" from Canon is actually a slightly longer focal length of 15mm, which is why the 14 is SO damn expensive.

Anyway, this thread is still providing some super shots, just happy to see what everyone's up to.

Well you got the best of me...I did realize none of them had the signature "round-skewed" look as a fish eye, but I must say #1 comes close as the angle of the chopper compared to the rest of the slide. However I must have stared at that first picture for about 15 minutes last right cause something just didn't look right. For me it was the sling cable, maybe I'm wrong, but it looks unnatural! Still, nice pictures!

If you're shooting film, what are or how are you or where are you doing your scans? I tried scanning one photo from my printer and it was just so bad that I've never posted a second one from any of my print photos and I just don't have many to share from my digital yet. I'm really impressed with the photos you guys get. Thanks for posting them all. My favourite place to visit on this forum.

If you look closely on the yellow endless strap, you'll see the left side doesn't actually connect.....LOL. There was no way I could make it line up unfortunately, but most people don't notice when the picture is that size.

I use digital cameras exclusively now, either a little point and shoot Nikon, or my full size Canon SLR. (1D MkII) I would assume most of the photos on here are digital, I too tried scanning slides, way too costly to get done properly.

I'm in the same boat. My smallest is also 24mm, I think Canon has a 10-22mm which I would love to get, but as you say, money can be hard to come by!
