C-GKIT, a privately-registered Cessna 337E aircraft, was conducting a local VFR flight from the
Brandon Municipal Airport (CYBR), MB, with the pilot and three passengers. While returning for
landing at CYBR on Runway 32, it was reported that the landing gear selector was placed in the
down position. The pilot did not confirm the down and locked indication prior to touchdown and the
main landing gear collapsed during the landing roll. The aircraft skidded to a stop in the center of
the runway. The aircraft was substantially damaged. There were no injuries.

C-FTGD, a privately operated Beechcraft C24R Sierra 200, was conducting touch-and-go landings
from Lachute Aerodrome (CSE4), QC, in visual meteorological conditions with only one pilot on board. During landing, the aircraft slid onto its belly because the landing gear was retracted. There were no injuries, and the aircraft sustained structural damage to the fuselage.

C-FAPL, a privately registered Piper PA-31 Navajo, departed Kashechewan Airport (CZKE), ON,
on a flight with another pilot on board. While on short final to Runway 28 at Timmins Victor M.
Power Airport (CYTS), ON, the Flight Service Specialist (FSS) observed that the aircraft’s landing
gear did not appear to be extended. FSS radioed C-FAPL to confirm the gear status, but the
aircraft landed gear-up. The aircraft skidded along Runway 28 through the intersection with
Runway 03/21 before coming to a stop on the runway. There were no reported injuries; however,
the aircraft sustained substantial damage.

C-FAUA, an Insignia College Ltd. Piper PA-34-200T (Seneca II) was performing circuit training,
under visual flight rules, at the Boundary Bay Airport (CZBB), BC, with 1 instructor and 1 student
on board. During the 6th circuit, simulated single engine operations were demonstrated. When the
aircraft settled on Runway 25, the propellers struck the runway, and the aircraft came to an abrupt
halt on the paved surface resting on its belly. The 2 occupants were able to egress without
incident. Post-occurrence, it was determined that the landing gear selector was in the up position.
There were no injuries. The aircraft was substantially damaged.
There was damage to the propellers, flaps, and underside of the aircraft. It was lifted from the
runway and the landing gear was extended normally. The aircraft will be assessed for damage.
