They're advertising for contract CAPT's and F/O's to be based in Mexico City as well.

Why do you want it to become nasty? Nasty for Canadian pilots, for sure.
Since nobody has the balls to tell companies to stop this shit, this is the first step to outsource our jobs.
I won't be surprised to have other companies outsource as well...

This is getting interesting.

ALPA has already sent out a strongly worded letter. Unfortunately, Unifor doesn't seem to care much what ALPA thinks.

My gut says strike now before the jobs leave Canada for good. But I'm not at the table... This government will not lift a finger to help pilots. If Amazon pressures CJ to resolve the issue and they can't or won't maybe Flightcraft can get back in the game, or either of the big guys can...

ALPA’s response should be an article how Cargojet’s tactics are nothing more than employee intimidation. The Cargojet pilots collective agreement is public knowledge, they could compare their pay scales to those of their US competitors. Would paint a pretty clear picture that utilizing American pilots would cost them significantly more, probably even double overall.

Free advice

You're a CP at a carrier where the pilots are rep'd by unifor. Might not be the best thing to throw up on the forum..
