Good post,

However, like others have said, consider sleep deprivation. Not having sufficient rest can be just as dangerous if not more so than drinking and flying. What about emotionally distraught (sp?) pilots?

Sleep deprivation is typically the result of working too much, and not being afforded the opportunity to acquire enough rest.

This is not good for flying either, but it lacks the "knowingly irresponsible behaviour" necessary to constitute a crime.

I'm not supporting either, just trying to point out the difference.
