Re: Will Enerjet fly?
I talked to their Chief Pilot the other day. They have hired some FOs. I don't know what they are paying the FOs but the skippers that went over from WJ are making the same as they did at WJ. They were all top of the scale so there's nothing wrong with that.
Re: Will Enerjet fly?
So where are their FO's coming from?

Re: Will Enerjet fly?
Saw Enerjet fly today! 737 with a big yellow ribbon on the tail in Fort McMurray tonight! Way to go!
Re: Will Enerjet fly?
Did I hear right that Enerjet's first flight was Fort Mac to Gander? Can you fill up a -700 and fly that leg from that runway? ( I foget how long it is?). What about at 30c or so?
Re: Will Enerjet fly?
It's a few hundred miles shorter than OGG-YVR which Westjet does. OGG's runway is about 500' shorter than YMM (roughly 7,500' vs. 7,000'). Don't think it will be the hotter temps that will be the problem but runway conditions in the winter (just a guess on my part).mulligan wrote:Did I hear right that Enerjet's first flight was Fort Mac to Gander? Re: Will Enerjet fly?
We rarely use full muscle on the -700's. They have jam to spare. And when the runway gets too short for full rated and flaps 1, we can drop the flaps and go bleeds off.

I've done a few flap 25, bump thrust, bleeds off T/O out of OGG...sure got off that short hot runway real fast!! Could probably do it with an Airbus strapped to our back too

If anyone seriously gets bothered by that comment, then they're too uptight
Re: Will Enerjet fly?
No offense!! I fly the bus now and dispatch tells me the 319 will go YMM-YQX. Used to fly 737-200s which was a funner airplane. I can remember doing MEX-YYZ but wth a max of about 50 pax. Then we started going into Monteray on the way and we could just get out of MEX with a full load. Guess the NGs have a lot more muscle but are they as much fun?!
Re: Will Enerjet fly?
More fun, but in a different way. The 200 was a blast too, but I was flying into gravel strips with it.mulligan wrote:No offense!! I fly the bus now and dispatch tells me the 319 will go YMM-YQX.
