Two and a half hour drive to a Nissan dealer. I stuck my nose in the door there and didn't get treated all that well. The Titan looks kewl though.

Hey Doc,
last year I went through what your going through now...I never thought it would be so hard to buy a brand new vehicle...but man what pain in the ass. I exhausted myself looking over these trucks, driving them, checking stats, price, finance rates, resale, buying magazines, well you get the idea... anywho I went with the 2008 Chev Sliverado 4x4 (Z71) extended cab. By far the best riding truck outta the bunch, Loads of power (5.3L/315 BHP) surprising fuel mileage, the brakes are outstanding, nice quiet/interior , good towing package, and a kick-ass finance rate.
After a year I am very happy with this truck.

Hey Doc, did you look into its GMC clone? I am just curious as to how it stacks up by comparison.Doc wrote:That is the exact truck. Only blue. 29K.

There's no difference. Really. It's the same truck.Changes in Latitudes wrote:Hey Doc, did you look into its GMC clone? I am just curious as to how it stacks up by comparison.Doc wrote:That is the exact truck. Only blue. 29K.
Re: Pickup Trucks
Well, this is what I ended up with.

It's an '04 with 60K on the clock. It really did belong to a 75 year old guy.
The extra 10K for a new one just isn't worth it to me. Picked it up today. Pretty clean machine.
The "ginger" haired beauty is my daughter Liz! She THINKS she'll get her little paws on it........in her dreams!

Re: Pickup Trucks
Doc I love your sexy red hair! Looks great! I've been driving an '04 GMC 2500 4x4, and have been quite happy with it, even gas mileage. That is, I was happy with the gas mileage until I went a tire size up and went from 10 ply(80psi) to 6 ply (50psi). The ride is great now, but I lost about 7L/100km because of it.
