Some people are not cut out to be captain, if you can make a decision or don't put in the effort expect to sit in the RH seat for a while!

Don't blame a company or other pilots if you are not qualified.
2 or 3 guys cannot "sink you" at this company.
Yes, and he has been given at least 2 or 3 tries at an upgrade.

Nope, several different training captains ( senior and some-what junior)

Re: Calm Air
approved check pilots you probibly have 1 and he does all the rides right

Re: Calm Air
If a candidate fails an ACP checkride the ACP can do 1 re-ride but if that doesn't go well then any further re-rides have to be with a TC inspector.

Nope, wrong again
And, the ride isn't the issue, anyway, so nice try blaming it on the acp

No problem.
There are a few guys/gals who have been passed over for upgraded, but all for fair and valid reasons.

Hasn't one of your ACP's had a few issues in the last couple years with improper rides resulting two or more fails that were over turned?
Anyone can do it, I just do it better ! ! !

Re: Calm Air
Wow - I really don't get this wanting to slag off Calm Air
The were a damned fine outfit to work for - good people, always fair, mostly reasonable, there are days I regret having left (even when the family was running the joint)
Like any airline it had it's ups and downs - but the ups were higher than most and the downs were few and far between
I'd consider going back if it didn't mean moving to Winnipeg
I'm sorry it may have been a while since I left, but in my six years there I never saw anything like what's being suggested here, and I have nothing but the deepest respect for the guys running the show these days

HS748
You were responding quite quickly for a while, I think after all the opinion and defense your were serving up it says a lot not answering the last question Horunner asked.
It points right into the heart of the environment there, I could only see 2 reasons; either the ACP is incompetent or some collusion does take place weeding out unliked pilots and messing with their careers/families/futures.
Your attitude thru out this post has also shown this mentality, you have laughed and joked about someone having a hard time there. I wonder if you could mess with someone on a whim ???

Re: Calm Air
You are right and wrong, Calm Air only has one HS748 ACP, there are other guys for the other aircraft.aviator2010 wrote:approved check pilots you probibly have 1 and he does all the rides right

QUALIFIED = UPGRADE. Simple as that.

EDIT. This will be my last post on this thread. The above in red and bold says it all!
