I wouldn't be surprised to see KC selling the Metros to Orca - I'm sure he's getting tired of those runs and with the money he's printing in BCAS contracts and Fedex/Purolator runs who needs the headache?
What money? He underbid everyone else to get those BCAS contracts..

So true. Dinamecks and dee-h-l are total goat shows anyways. Bottom if the barrel contracts now going to a bottom of the barrel operator.

Assuming this is true ( I wouldn't know, so i'll take your word for it), with the citations won't the costs on this contract be lower than with the LR31 that HJ was bidding with? Sorry to divert the direction of this thread.

The costs are lower as the wages are lower.. I was also reffering to the Turboprop side as well. How can new 350's be less expensive than the previous 200s? Now.. I dont fly either the citation nor the lear, but I'm sure quite a few of you on here do or have. Whats the fuel burn like on both? Hourly maintenance costs? etc?

BCAS wanted 350s, not 200s...

Those contracts are cherry... he is rolling in the cake. Poor poor taxpayers...

First of all the turbo props have been 350's for 5 years now.

And as a Learjet pilot I can tell you that those particular Citations are lower operating cost than LR31A's.

Lastly, while the year 1&2 salary cost may be lower, Year 3&4 and onwards will not. Believe it or not, BCAS was very happy with Carson over the last few years other than some concerns over an old airframe. That fame is being replaced, btw.

HJ could have kept that contract if they wanted. Carson knew LONG ago they were getting the contract.

Anyway - this thread is getting sidetracked.

Pretty sure I was on one of the brand new NT 350's just over five years ago. Great machine. But thanks for pointing out the obvious ;)

What is so particular about 'those' Citations? I understand the lear has some peculiarities.. and I'm not privy to the exact details of the contract nor the operation of the jet.. but I have been around the coast a while and I've seen the shrewd buisness tactics employed by KC and how his little air operation is run and getting back to the main topic.. if orca has taken business from carson, I can ONLY imagine why.

Yeah, KC is doing them a favour.

The only thing he runs that doesn't make much money is his flight school--and that's because it is a pool of cheap labour. That's why he can underbid everybody, buy the competition, and still show up at the hangar with a new bike/car/helicopter all the time.
