I did my first IFR reride in 1972 and that means an average of 2 rides a year ever since and not once have I ever worn a "vision - limiting" device EXCEPT darkness or the inside of a cloud. What I have done is throw a book or something in the windshield if I think it is apropo. Usually with a newbe.

Oldtimer :

There were times up north when a vision limiting device would have been welcomed, a paper bag.... :mrgreen:

But that of course has nothing to do with instrument flying.....
