You often post a lot of information about Sunwing, regarding how many foreign workers come over, how many Sunwing pilots go over to Europe, about the new lower paying "b" scale pilots at Sunwing, the logistics of training so many Canadian pilots vs foreign help etc etc. Not just in this post but in multiple other posts. Where do you get your information? Hearsay or do you have fact?

Reason I'm asking is you seem to be focused in on one airline in particular and there are others in the Canadian market that have similar business practices that don't seem to be the target of your attention. Any reason why Sunwing?
Check your eyeglasses prescription especially if you are a pilot. I had cursory glance at my last four posts in this particular thread and I distinctly noticed the names of two companies in each one. Perhaps you would care to rephrase your question?

To all those who question Gilles motives, there is a reason Sunwing get's the most focus, of the two airlines in Canada that use this disgusting practice, Sunwings has taken it to a whole new level. You remember when you were a kid and your Mom said, oh no, if I give you an inch, you'll take a mile! Well Sunwing has taken a mile and somehow stretched it to a thousand. They flood the market in the winter, instead of growing the market with respectable business practice. Then when CH is interviewed by the media, he blames a saturated market for lower yields. There is no question, he's delusional(just an opinion based on observation)
Also for those who question Gilles, you might want to look into why ALPA Canada board has made this their NUMBER ONE PRIORITY!!!!!

Deregulation of the Canadian airline industry in 1984 saw one of our most successful charter airlines make the transition to scheduled ops. The motivation for that move was the lower yields generated by charter ops. Six years later the company was sold. That purchase ended the life of its buyer.
Lessons were learned or at least should have been learned but I'd simply point out the list of charter airlines that have fallen since then, is ridiculous.

CHs remarks regarding lower yields in the charter game have been the reality in Canada since Mr. Ward started his operation with a single B727-100 in defiance of the federal government.

I have little doubt CH has seen the future and understands fully where he is leading his airline and understands why history repeats itself. And it WILL repeat that lesson until it is learned.

Canadian pilots who so casually accept the hiring of foreign pilots at ANY Canadian company at a time when there is clearly NO shortage of qualified Canadian pilots available, really needs to give their heads a shake.
