Okay time to shake the pot a little.
The pay could be better. No argument their. However we all sit in our nice King Air, Metros , 1900s, whatever. We sit their and dream of going to Air Canada for below poverty line wages, or West jet which are a little better. Don’t get me started on Jizz. We also complain about the pay at a company we don’t even work at, or do work at but plan to leave for poorer wages.
Why?
Because we all see what the other guys inevitably pay. No one on this post has even asked what does the pay top out at on the Jets. No one cares what the top end is at Sunwest because no one plans to stay at the company long enough to make that pay. We also complain about the training bounds, because why?……..
I am in agreement with most. Wages need to be higher and I don’t like the bonds but……
I say again, Make sure you are somewhere you want to be when the music stops.
Six figure pay always makes life better when the music stops, if you ask me.

If you can't find a party start one
Not everybody wants airlines! Airsprint's pay is $60-100,000, max on the 550. I think that a fractional driver should start at 100,000 for the amount of work you will do. I think you will max out your duty days for the 16 days they are working, plus all the catering/fuelling/cleaning/ etc. you will do setting up for the next leg/next passengers. I do not know if you must do all your own flight planning/handling yourself (London Air guys do their own!!) Yes, racking jet time and only getting 60,000 a year is fine if you are waiting for an opening at WJ, but if you wish to make a career out of corporate, the pay is not enough and you WILL move on. You would think these operators would be able to tell the difference. The size of the bond is immaterial if you are a career corp. guy.
"What's it doing now?"
"Fly low and slow and throttle back in the turns."

I've heard however that the 550 job will take you away from home for sometimes a week at a time. I don't know about you, but some people have a family or partner that they wouldn't mind spending time with once in awhile. But it sounds like it pays at least. Anybody know how long at a time your away on the jets out of sunwest?
