Hey buddy don't flatter yourself, your are in Northern Ontario. You have not made it to the real world where you don't haul pop and chips. Northern Ontario is southern Ontario's fat friend and that's who you're going to be cuddling up with for awhile.

PS I'm glad you feel proud about how well you get the pop and chips up north in a hurry and undamaged to boot. I hope you get a medal for it someday.

Hey man. Being in NWO I get the North & south trips. But you really should come up here and see if you can cut it with the rest of us real pilots. You know, the 300ft ceiling in a blizzard, 200NM North of the nearest flight service station (no tower that close), no approach at night on 3000ft gravel (ice), and it's just another day at the office. then the next day we get a charter to YHM or YXU.

I know you were just trying to bait me, but I couldnt resist. Bored on days off. Plus you pilots that think life doesn't exist North of the 401 kind of irritate me. Dont forget to call downwind when you are "flying your trip" in the circuit tomorrow bud.

And not saying I'm proud of pop and chips. Just someone that has a job to do, and does it well until the next job comes up. Loyalty and dedication. Hard to find with you GTA types.

LOL. Kind of hard rowdy. Judging from what I've been reading here, give one of these greasy fu##ers a hug, and they would slide right through your arms with your wallet in their hands.

Yeah it is hard. You couldn't find a NAC guy to hug until he flew right by you!!!

Unfortunately I can't even argue with that statement. (See previous posts to Rudy).

No tower!!!!!! how do you do it? No Approach and at night??? Oh my God you would think the Swiss would have thought to put a GPS and an autopilot in a $3-4 million aircraft. Oh wait they did!!!!! and you have an F/O even though you only have one engine and only nine people. If the fan quits is it the F/o's job to give you a BJ b4 you crash just so you don't die never having had one??? What else are they there for?? Let me know when your doing the same job, without any toys , by yourself, in an airplane that is older and has more miles on it than your mom!!!

Now Pie Lot, flying in the north does have some challenges but it's really not that hard is it? You guys do deserve more than what you're getting however. I don't understand those short-sighted managers who think their saving money by paying less than everyone else. Take 75% of the money they would be giving to Simcom and give it to the pilots to stick around.

Oops. Sorry man, I assumed you were flying a plane with all the toys and whistles. Didn't realize you hadn't moved beyond the clapped out aircraft stage yet. Keep plugging away there sport. Someday you'll make it up into the flight levels too. I remember what it was like a long time ago back at your level.

You're right Rudy. It's actually not that hard at all. But it is fun to bug these closet circuit jockeys.

And a couple of us met with the DFO a couple of years ago and told him the same thing. Keep the experience, or face an exodus, $200K+ in training costs, and all the other hidden costs (props, brakes, etc). He thought we didn't know what the hell we were talking about, and it was a bluff that everyone would quit. Well 95% of Captains over 1 year have quit, and all the other costs are happening 10 fold. But I guess we were bluffing, right?

Your right someday I'll move up to "PC-12" god!!! After I've done that I can move even further up in status and pay (NAC wages anyway) and become a Coffee Barista at Starbucks.

PS Send me your resume, I'll put in a good word for you at the Starbucks in YWG

Rumor has it that these Northern operators are following the lead of Jazz and will be hiring College grads from Seneca and a few other places.

I got a phone call from one of their decision makers in the training department asking me if they upped their X/Wind limits to ten knots would that be sufficient?

They also asked me if I could come to Ontario after I get back from Greece to demonstrate to them that a X/Wind of ten knots was actually doable.

If I can't make it maybe Doc could do the demo for me, if he has the time.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.
