Yeah, probably. But it might not be effective, I hear the conductivity of pickled flesh isn't so good. Right now I think we have some Canada Day saturation going on. I think I'm immune.

So are you, when you are asked the same questions! According to you,
this is an "entirely anonymous internet forum", so where do you get off
asking questions that you refuse to answer?
Again, (and I suggest you try to read this slowly this time Hedley) I'm not soliciting any services on AvCanada. If you wish to advertise for services here, I think you should expect people to ask questions about your qualifications. Is that concept so alien to you?
Besides, you don't own or fly any aircraft, so what
does your opinion matter?
Your insults are all based on speculation. I have never provided any such information on this forum or to you. Your credibility just gets worse and worse the more you write.

Now that is a topic upon which you can speak from great authority

Poor CID. You were beaten up pretty bad at recess, weren't you?
That's ok, we can take it. Let all that venom flow out. You'll feel
better.

CID, why didn't you just call the guy, or PM him with your questions? I'd suggest you change your handle to Sado-Masochist. Actually, Goof isn't bad either.

CID doesen't work that way, phoning someone with a legitimate honest question is beyond his comprehension.

He only operates from the cover of the rock he hides under.

Coward is the best description for CID......a goof is someone you can feel sorry for.

What makes you think I haven't phoned or PM's him? Do you think I log every move I make on AvCanada's forum? And don't you think it's a legitimate question to ask someone who may be working on your airplane if he's an AME?

Sure, but you don't own an aircraft.

Legitimate or not, you needlessly turned your concerns out on a battlefield, to which many are lined up to fire off a salvo at you. Imagine how this could have gone, with a little forethought on your part - that means thinking before saying or doing something:

azimuthaviation: Hi folks, cheap avionics work...give me a call.

Child In Diapers: Hey gang. I just spoke with azimuth and it sounds great. OR

Child In Diapers: Hey gang. I just got off the phone with azimuth, and I have concerns for which you may want to PM me.

Cat Driver: Wow Child In Diapers, thanks. That was really thoughtful.

Okay, maybe that last one might be a stretch. But you never know.

Either way, the PIC is still responsible for the airworthiness of their a/c before they take to the skies, including ensuring that any and all work signed off complies with regulations. I'm sure every single owner/pilot on this forum who read azimuth's post and was considering getting work done, immediately picked up the phone or PMed him to perform their due diligence. Acting as a self-anointed saviour for a crowd of folks who have already demonstrated their commitment to safety seems a little overdone, don't you think.

I'm fairly new to avcanada, but I've lived long enough to recognize someone who thinks they have all the answers and believes they can't learn from anyone else. As a pilot, that person is dangerous. Here on the ground, where you probably spend all your time, it's an annoyance. I don't need to know your name to know who you are. Your immature drive towards self-importance is a poor cover for how ignorant you are about life in general.

Now why would I put this out here on the forum, rather than privately make these comments to you? Because sometimes you have to shame a bully, a know-it-all, an individual with a general disregard for the knowledge and contribution of others.

Before you respond in your usual vitriolic manner, think! Put some effort into reflecting on your best approach to making some real personal growth. Think about why it is you spend so much time on these forums looking for ways to appear important. Why is that? I mean, really think about what it is that motivates you to seek anonymous self-importance. It is, afterall, not real. So it can't really serve you in the way you need it to.

That's probably too much for one day. Good luck.

C23Flyer,

I guess you're entitled to your opinion no matter how short sighted I think it is. The fact of the matter is that I've tried many of your suggestions to conduct polite civilized discussions on AvCanada. It's impossible.

I find it quite ironic that you consider me the bully here but again, you're entitled to your opinion.

Personally, I don't really give a rat's ass what you think of me. I don't join in the discussions here to win any popularity contests but I also am not about to shrink from the discussion because these idiots threaten me or try to intimidate me.

If you fail to see the purpose of my line of questioning or consider my questions unneccessary then you also seem to fail to understand the purpose of a forum. It's not just a place to NOT discuss things. So spare me the public scolding. It's nothing I haven't been subject to before by the throngs of idiots that frequent these boards.

Well, clearly not much reflection or forethought there.

Going on the offensive publicly, when someone advertises a service is not discussion. Taking a position based on your "honest opinion" is not discussion, unless you are willing to hear and consider other arguments or positions, and be open to changing your "opinion." You have not demonstrated this in any of the threads where I've read your posts. Stating the obvious is also not discussion, nor is repetitious citing of CARs, the Globe and Mail, or other reference materials to support a position from which you have no intention of moving, nor in which you might remotely consider that someone else may have something to contribute to you. So there it is. You might as well start a thread called CID, and post there regularly. Those members who wish to see what your latest authoritative positions and opinions are, can find them quickly. No need for anyone else to post there, as they will inevitably be wrong, or misinformed. In fact, I'm going to start it for you. You've worked hard to become this closed person you are, and you deserve your own platform from which to shine.

Very well written post, C23flyer.

I'm envious I didn't write it.

CID, most here just get annoyed with you. This gentleman is giving you well thought out advice without malice. You should put your ego aside and try to think about what he is telling you.
