Re: Nut-free zone ordered on Air Canada
We're heading on a trip to the States next month with my son who has a peanut allergy. We went ahead and contacted AC who in turn (at the time) said they could not guarantee a nut-free a/c for him. So we'll notify the ticket agent on the day of our departure and we will have a good look where we are sitting, and maybe use some wipes on the arm rest etc. As parents, its what we do, and really its not a big deal. My son is anxious and afraid about the trip and he just won't be able to relax on the flight. I know that he should be OK. If indeed AC has changed its policy by the time we travel it will be great to have that extra bit of support. Thanks AC or whoever pushed this forward.

There was a certain Christmas Day Suicide bomber who almost left the plane nut-free!
Re: Nut-free zone ordered on Air Canada
Perhaps he is anxious and afraid because you have made him so? What are the chances that a peanut will fly out of a bag and into his mouth? Or that his hands will pick up enough peanut crumbs and he will lick them off and have a reaction? If you want something to worry about, think about how much rest your pilot has had, or how many birds will be flying close to the engines.NO LINK* wrote:We're heading on a trip to the States next month with my son who has a peanut allergy. No, I havent made him that way. Believe it or not, these days some people don't wash their hands and they will leave their garbage behind for the next person. The worst case is for my guy to touch something with his hands and then touch his mouth. So it could be something like crumbs on the seats that cause a reaction.
Thanks for the input though.
