BMW generally makes a pretty good car, but in my experience it was a bit pricey for what you get, and it's hard for it to live up to all the hype.

I feel your pain. What I wanted yesterday, was a giant can opener for that stupid Porsche.

Try to look on the bright side, at least it's not an English car!

Your online personna drives one doesn't he?

I like me a 911 until the 1980s or so and any year boxster or speedster, various old chevys, fords and a couple of chryslers. How about you?

I'd be all for taking a rip in your NSX, Hondas are excellent even though they're kind of flimsey.

What?! Now, those are fighting words!

Honda overbuilds everything - they always use 6 bolts, where 2 would do

Pfft! Fifty bolts won't keep the sheet metal from oil canning.

Sure it will, because they don't sell oil in cans any more, so no one knows what it is. This is a direct corollary of the theorem:

No you're old!

Just because the thumb pump is in vogue and the 3 in one can I bought last month at Lowes is plastic, doesn't make the fenders on your civic thicker.

There's a nearly abandoned Hybrid a couple of blocks over and I can see how thin the fender is where it peeled like the skin of an orange from a minor accedent that should have been a "fender bender" not ripper.

Manitoba's population rise nation's highest

Manitoba posted the fastest population growth in the country in the fourth quarter of 2010.
Statistics Canada reported Manitoba's population grew by 3,600 from October to December, a 0.3 per cent increase.
Manitoba's population as of Jan. 1 was 1,243,700.

Manitoba's rate of population growth was one-tenth of a percentage greater than several other provinces, including:

-- Saskatchewan -- real increase of 2,300, total population 1,052,00.

-- Alberta -- real increase of 7,700, total population 3,742,800.

-- Prince Edward Island -- real increase of 240, total population 143,481.

Statistics Canada attributed Manitoba's population growth primarily to net international migration -- more people moved to Manitoba from outside the country than left here.

Manitoba's growth during the third quarter outpaced the national growth rate of 0.1 per cent.

Statistics Canada reports the country's population as of Jan. 1 at 34,278,406.

It takes more than a year or two to build a hospital.

Given the rate at which Manitoba real-estate has gone up, there'll probably be an exodus when people realize they can pay the same for houses in much warmer parts of the country.

My grandfather moved to Manitoba as a boy from the USSR in 1923. They resettled in the BC Fraser Valley not too long after because Manitoba was too cold compared to Russia.

Not pissing something away is not a legacy in my mind. It does not put him on equal footing with the rest on this list.

Niss: we get it. Really. You personally dislike Harper, and that's ok. He could discover the cure to cancer and save you on your deathbed with it, and you would still detest him. We get that.

It's nothing to be ashamed of. I have the same emotional reaction to carnie workers, and the Dutch. Small hands. Smell of cabbage.

I don't give any politician a free pass. I am just as critical of him as I would be anyone. Here's the difference, he is the one steering the ship. What pisses me off is that like any politician he holds the power and his personal agenda above what is good for Canada. IMHO he does it worse then anyone before him.

After I sold the Jags, I figured that german technology was far better. Not having PETs dough to buy the Mercedes 300 SL, I settled for two BMW Bavarias 3.0, one for parts. I drove that car 7 years, then gave it to my dad, then destroyed it in a demolition race. What a car it was! Dad loved it, because it would accelerate uphill! :smt040

I'm not personally a big fan of Harper, but he's got a long way to go to surpass Cretien in this department. You do remember him right?

I do have no doubts though that he will eventually get down to that level, power corrupts as they say. I guess when it comes down to it he's got one more kick at the can before we need to trade him out.

Actually they do, but unless you're a farmer you probably won't be able or need to aquire it this way.

You're right, it does! I bought some the other day, and didn't think about it, because that's the normal way to get a quart of oil. Remember those metal punch spouts you used to push into the top at the edge, which had a sharp cutter? I wonder if the Smithsonian still has one.

On the CTV news this morning a Liberal speaker stated that the Harper government spent more than any government in the history of Canada.
He must have forgotten about our Liberal PET Prime Minister of the 70's who increased spending in such a way as to increase the defecit by 1200 percent during his 12 or 13 years in power.
