Info on Air Labrador

Post by DownAndLock »

Hello everyone!

I am looking for current info on air labrador!
In the past, I read on older posts that they were hiring low-time from the inside and that it was a very good company!

I will be graduating from a flight college with a cpl multi-ifr gr.1 / iatra / flight dispatcher met and ops / 230TT 45 multi

Thanks!

I wish you all the best.......never got a call from them. Even with ATPL and 500 hours of multi-turbine!

I saw your post and thought I should reply, I work for the company and I have some insight into what's going on here. New Recruits are hired for positions in Dispatch and progress from there to the airplane. This is not a company where you are hired and placed in Dispatch or Ground-handling and kept in those positions rather then being allowed to progress in your career. The average time in the non-flying job is about 6-12 months depending on the season as Flying increases in Summer and decreases in Winter, positions open up as others move on to fly larger aircraft with larger companies. The last 12 recruits came mostly from Sault College with some exceptions such as FNTI and Cornwall Aviation Services, all have a quality, training program. I checked with the HR Manager after seeing your post, at this time the company is not hiring however in the past 3 weeks a Candidate was hired for Dispatch. Strong References from your CFI, previous employer is a must, you will be interviewed and you have to prove that flying is a career you can excel in.

Labrador is the North, should you plan to come here expect all that the North has to offer including Cold, Cold days on Winter and Long days of Sunshine in Summer. careers@airlabrador.com

Good Luck in your career advancement.

CYYR!

You just confirmed what I read on older posts on this forum!
I have a good idea of what North is all about.. one of my ground instructor always talks about his experiences up there. Definitely challenging but rewarding at the same time is what he used to say.
Thank you very much! We might meet one day up there!

Have a good one,
