Hmmm.... I always thought you just used the razor the day before you came home... ;) Maybe it's a function of the "rat-hole-ness" of where you are!

I read in a (women's) magazine one time that after five uses you should replace them...now that's for leg and pit shaving...I assume facial hair is coarser (well, part assumption. part experience?) and they should be replaced more often?

Go for an electrical one, their blades are good for 6 months...or 5 years if you shave yourself once in a while.

BTW, 3 weeks only and already 30 Qtips used.

And starting my third set of paper roll.

I currently use the Sensor Excel, but just got a Mach 3. I never changed the blades until that white protective material started to wear off. I'm pretty sure Gillette recommends that you change the blades ever 3 weeks, but I was doing it every 3 months or so. Perhaps that's why my face always looks like "scarface" after I'm done shaving :)

I really want to get an electric razor, but I just cant justify spending $100 on one right now.

I use the old brush and williams mug soap. I get longer life out of my blades, a smoother shave than with the canned stuff, and the soap is usually under $2 and lasts for months.

I use an electric but it takes time for your skin to adjust to the shave of one if you are used to blades. I love it because I can shave anywhere I want and just rinse it totally clean when I'm done.

The beer light...what good times at the drop zone. I miss those times, everything was simple back then.

Bye bye.

Speaking from a woman's point of view... if there are any where you happen to be living at the moment :)... a man who's used a razor blade to shave is preferred over an electric shaver EVERY time ! I'm a sucker for close shaves

Oh, and as for the original question... since I only worry about legs and arm pits, I use a razor until it begins to get even a hint of rust or I get too many nicks -- usually about a month.
