VFR Radiotelephony training aids

Post by Panama Jack »

I am wondering if anybody can recommend any radiotelephony training aids for student pilots.

I imagine there are some interesting interactive software or iPad apps out there?

Here's an example: http://comm1.com/home.html. Problem is lots is either UK or FAA kinda specific.

Maybe get the school to invest in a handheld or scanner that they can lend out. Let students sit and listen to it for a bit and take notes on what they hear. Let em take it home or whatever and plop it by the window.

You don't need a scanner, just point your browser at LiveATC.net.
