Air Transat Phone Interview
I received an email today from Air Transat (in French and I do not speak French so I used Google to translate). I was asked to participate in a phone interview. In my search on AVCANADA all of the info dates back 4-5 years, so I was wondering if any one has current information about what to expect in the phone interview and also about Air Transat in general?
Thanks in advance for all of the responses!

Since when ?
2005 or so, i believe !
I am taking care of the French forum, that’s why you didn’t see me much around.
English is a second language for me, hence i am a bit shy writing it !
If you give me a minute (or 2), i’ll send a pm to the other user.

Re: Air Transat Phone Interview
it'll be a few standard interview type questions, and have you run over a basic synopsis of your career to date. Nothing overly challenging. At the end they'll ask you how your french is, don't BS them just be honest. There are plenty of non french speakers here so its not make or break.
As for details on the company, I like working here as do all my co workers whom I encounter so I guess its not half bad
Good luck to you all.

Hey guys,
I have a Sim Eval, and an in person interview at the end of the month. Can someone give me the low down on how the Sim and interview plays out?
I am more or less wondering if its mostly a HR based interview Vs. a technical inteview. I don't have any Jet time and very limited international flying expereince. I am just wondering if I need to start studying flying the wing, and re-reading the CARS.
Also, where is the training conducted? If on 737 course how long from start to finish is training? Is there a company indoc course?
Sorry for all the questions,
Any insight would greatly be appreciated, feel free to PM me.

Frog, could you give me any information as well? It would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Air Transat Phone Interview
Sorry, but I really don't know much. All I did was the phone interview and it is where it stopped for me.
The phone interview was just questions regarding your career and confirming your interest in a position with Transat.
Good luck.

Dont worry too much about the "phone interview", it's just a few basic questions and then they elaborate on the job (youll be told to expect YYZ base, aircraft types, pay, etc). The in-person interview is very basic too, done in YUL, along with the sim eval on the 310 and medical. Usually you'll do everything in one day.

Re: Air Transat Phone Interview
What kind of experience and times are they usually looking for if you have you "in" with the company ? thanks
Re: Air Transat Phone Interview
Last I heard they are looking for ATPL, 3000 hrs. I have heard of people getting a call with less but they didn't make it past the interview. What flavour of aircraft isn't the focus. As long as it is multi-turbine/jet, multi-crew.
