Although I admit I made my own whisky and don't care if it's legal , and am not really in a position to advise you- It is not legal for a private pilot to fly you around for whiskey or money.182-SS wrote:I'm working on a large project in Acheson just west of Edmonton and I was hoping I could buy one of you guys a bottle/fuel or something of your liking, to take me up so I could get some pictures for our web site.

People that like whiskey and money and flying the most go and get a commerical pilots license after their private licence.
They have to learn stuff like how to cut the power on downwind ,with a hangover , and land in a spot on the runway, whereas a private pilot can cut the power on downwind with a hangover, and only has to land more or less on something flat close to his car that still has beer in the trunk.
You could contact someone like these guys
http://www.absoluteaviation.ca/Charter-Services.page
or similiar in the surrounding airports.
They all have mechanically sound aircraft, nice hair and are sober.
I hope you get some nice photos.

Thank you very much for the comments and valuable advice. It is true, you can never be to careful with all the TC employees lurking on this site ready to pounce on private pilots that are not capable of flying their aircraft safely should they receive remuneration of any type.
This of course would be a mutual beneficial flight with no payment being offered or accepted should a Private pilot offer to take me up; Although Paying for my share of fuel on a mutually beneficial flight with a PPL is not against regulation.
However I feel as though you are suggesting that there are no CPL pilots with access to airplanes in this area as well, nor is there sober private pilots in this area. This is a very interesting assertion worthy of a survey, inquiry or perhaps a full investigation.
Your comments are thought provoking and deserve nothing less than the time it took me to respond to them.
Thank you for your kind thoughts.
